Course Overview
This accredited Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid course is designed for anyone responsible for the care of babies and children. The qualification fully meets the statutory paediatric first aid requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and is accepted by Ofsted-registered settings.
This blended learning course allows learners to complete the theory element online at their own pace before attending a practical face-to-face training day.

Qualification
To achieve the qualification, learners must complete:
Unit 1 – Emergency Paediatric First Aid
Unit 2 – Managing Paediatric Illness, Injury and Emergencies
The qualification is accredited by FAA through Nuco Training and regulated by Ofqual.
Course Duration
- 12 hours total learning time
- Online theory completed before the practical session
- One full day of face-to-face practical training (minimum 6 hours)
- Meets EYFS blended learning requirements
Assessment & Certification
- Ongoing practical and written assessments
- Certificate valid for 3 years
- Annual refresher training recommended
- Full course must be retaken to renew certification

Physical Requirements
